| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The Wireless shutter release is handy for taking pictures of subjects that are difficult to approach, or to minimize vibration for close-ups and time exposure. It employs a superior anti-interference functionality and allows a choice of 16 different RF channels. This is particularly useful if several photographers are working in the same vicinity as you need only choose a specific channel for each photographer to prevent overlapping signals. Another use would be the ability to control multiple cameras with a single remote by assigning each camera their own receiver channel and switching the channels on transmitter. Range up to 100m (320ft.) without obstacles - Retractable antenna for Long range shots! Designed for groups, macros, Time Lapse Mode, Long exposures / Shutter Mode, Continuous shooting mode, etc.

Some functions work on my Canon 7D September 2, 2010 Eric Moen I read the other reviews and then purchased this product for my Canon 7D.
I have only tested it in my basement but out of the box this is what works.
The normal timed exposures work great.
The 2 sec and 10 sec delayed exposure timer in the 7D works as advertised providing you remember to place the hand switch switch in the proper position. :-)
The Manual Bulb exposures work if the the exposure time is very short. Two seconds or less? If you shoot longer than that you will have to turn the timer off manually. At least on my copy I have to.
The 3/sec and 8/sec interval timer works if the total time is 2 to 3 seconds or less. Any longer and you need to shut it off manually. This always happened no matter how many times I pressed the exposure button or how long I held it for.
As stated in other reviews the timer will work with distance. I have not tried that.
If you need a simple timer to take single exposures that are timed by the camera this will do the job. The other functions do not work properly on my Canon 7D.
I have not tried a new battery.
One interesting comment, I just received a email from the company through Amazon asking if I was happy with the product. Their reply , if any will be interesting.

Works well on Canon 7D no problems. Works great at forty feet that's more distance then I need.
Works like a champ! June 22, 2010 G. Norvell (Space City) Does what it is supposed to and nothing more. Great value and a much better option over the Canon IR remotes.
Pretty good remote. May 26, 2010 R. Rosabal (Houston, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The remote is very easy to use. Just plug it into your camera put the batteries in and start shooting. I like being able of not having to use the wireless if I don't want to. The part that connects to the camera has a shoe mount which is great. In the bulb mode you do not have to hold down the wireless control's shutter release for long exposures, just hold down the remote button for 3 seconds and let go when you are ready to close the shutter press the remote button again and its done. The only reason I'm giving this product a 4 star review instead of 5 is that in a few occasions when using bulb mode the shutter would open as expected but it would not close when commanded and I had to press remote button multiple times to get it to close, but then by further testing I realized that the button has to be held down for at least 1 second to make the shutter close, but this is not mentioned in the manual.
Almost Perfect May 17, 2010 WilliWu (Boston, MA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Works so well with both my new EOS 7d and my old 20d, that it's really not fair to criticize anything, but here goes. You have a choice of mounting it either with the lights pointing to the rear or pointing forward. If you are going to be behind the camera, you'll want it pointing to the rear and you will find that it protrudes enough to prevent you from getting your eye as close to the viewfinder as you might like. It would be nice if they put the lights on top and slightly elevated so that you could see them from any direction. You could then mount it with the big end facing forward and out of the way. Still a great product at an unbelievable price.
