5 out of 5 stars Better than sex   August 26, 2010

I seriously think I'm in love with this little remote :) Configuring the many devices required for home theater has never been easier. My jaw dropped to the floor when it figured out most of my setup with my needing to customize a thing. My wife can use it without any issues, and that's saying something!

5 out of 5 stars Harmony   August 21, 2010

I am a cheapskate, and a skeptic - I avoided any sort of "universal remote", certain they were too expensive and would fail to deliver on their promises. The Logitech Harmony for Xbox 360 proved me wrong on both counts.

I purchased this very handy device from kittywater for about $70 - about the same, if not less, than the replacement price for just one of the many remotes we have around our house. Functionally, the Harmony delivered on all fronts: the PC-based application used to configure the remote was very straight-forward and easy to use. Within 5 minutes, I had programmed my remote to replace 4 different remotes. In addition to the ease-of-setup, the remote delivered as promised: all functions working exactly as they should, with no tweaking required.

The Xbox 360 interface was also a slam-dunk, allowing my wife to switch back and forth between TV, DVDs, Netflix on the Xbox, and playing CDs over the home theater system, all with the same sleek and sexy remote!

Way to go, Logitech!

5 out of 5 stars Great Match for Game Room TV with XBox   August 8, 2010
J. Harris (Scottsdale, AZ)
We have a Harmony 720 remote that has been a marriage saver for our family room TV. Since my wife loves only having one remote and the easy to understand LCD screen and Help menu on the 720, I decided to drop the $$ for a Harmony remote when we remodeled our den.

The den now has new Vizio (M370NV)TV with BluRay AND the critical item became the XBox 360 which we use to watch Netflix movies. The Harmony Remote XBox 360 remote is fantastic to control the Netflix selection process and more importantly operates all the play/pause/rewind/etc. funcions.

Prior to getting the Harmony remote I used the XBox game controller which was confusing and not intuitive to play a movie. This remote makes switching to the XBox to watch a Netflix movie a one button operation and we're ready to sit down with popcorn.

Since I was comfortable in programming the 720 model I was ready to spend an hour or so setting up all the controls and programable buttons for the Harmony. I did learn that I had to create another "account" with Harmony with a new user ID and password. I love having all the functions from 5 remotes (TV, Amplifier, DirectTV, DVD, and XBox) programmed in the one Harmony remote.

If you use an XBox to access NetFlix then this is the ideal remote.

2 out of 5 stars Lacks button durability   May 2, 2010

Logitech makes superior products and the ones that I own have performed well over time, except for this remote. After four years of use, buttons that control DVD playback have failed. It is a physical problem . . . the contacts under the buttons started to lose connection and slowly deteriorated to make the unit useless.

This is an expensive remote, and there is no excuse for a product of this type and design, used exclusively in an adult-only household, to fail from its physical design and construction. As with most consumer items, repair will likely cost as much as I paid for the remote, new. The alternative is to discard it into the global Himalayas of electronic device gargage. Totally unacceptable.

5 out of 5 stars Need a remote? Have an Xbox360?   April 30, 2010

Need a remote? Have an Xbox360?

Then this is the remote for you. All the traditional awesomeness of the harmony line with the ability to control you Xbox 360 without a controller. Great for Netflix on the 360. I think that this has been discontinued and I'm actually thinking of buying another one in-case mine happens to die. Once set up its literally so easy a cave man can do it or my girl friend for that matter and that's saying a lot.

Want to watch TV? click watch TV and the remote does the rest no matter how complicated the system. Same goes for DVD, Xbox 360, Media center, DVR, and the list goes on. I have not been able to stump the database. Also a great remote for parents that can't quite figure out their home theater systems.

Need a remote? Have an Xbox360? Get the Logitech Harmony Xbox 360 Remote!
