1 out of 5 stars Worthless   September 5, 2010
Everett G. Lundberg (Sturgeon Bay, WI.)
I bought this remote figuring that it would be the ultimate remote, but after messing with it for a whole day I put it back in the box and filed it away for another day. I went back on the web to look again for a better remote. I found the easiest remote to setup and use in the "X10 remote" It took less then 5 minutes to program, and it was up in running. The best part is that it only cost $41.00. All the programing codes are built in and it has a 2" by 2" color T.V. screen with all the T.V. Icons. so forget the other remotes and get this one. So DON'T BUY THIS REMOTE! "BUY A X10 REMOTE INSTEAD" You will be impressed.

5 out of 5 stars Great remote with Cloning problem   August 27, 2010
Barry J. Gloeckner (Loudonville, NY, US)
I have 4 of these remotes, so I don't need to tell you that I really like it. It's not perfect but what is? I have TV's in 4 different rooms that use RF20's to control a DVR that is connected to the TV's by component cables and a couple of AV400Comp splitters.
However I just bought the lastest RF20 last week. It has new firmware on it that won't allow you to Clone the old remote commands to this newer remote. Not a huge problem, but I could have cloned my new remote very quickly. Instead I'll have to program it as I programmed my first remote.
As others have indicated it's somewhat complicated to program. I'll have to review the commands in the manual.

5 out of 5 stars Best Remote   July 8, 2010

I work with this product line all the time. The price point of this remote and the build quality are great. You do have to understand how to build macro's to make it easy to use.. To bad URC have discontinued this product. That is why I bought 2, one to use now and one to save for a later application. My original URC is 5 years old and going strong but some of the finish is starting to wear off. Still functions great.

4 out of 5 stars Versatile Remote Control   July 3, 2010
Bulldogjoe (Australia)
Purchased this remote control a few years ago when it was known as URC200.
I've never been able to find out why the name (model No.)change but the remote is
basically the same. It's great when you purchase the transponder as well because the
"Radio Freq." of the unit comes into it's own. It does the job as claimed and works
very well and is great value. If only the price of delivery was cheaper as I've
almost paid the same price for delivery as for the remote.
