It's simple and it just works. Whew! March 9, 2010 My2Cents (Los Angeles) This thing has enough reviews that I don't see the need to go into detail. I simply want to say that I have purchased both inexpensive extenders in this price range (two triangles - one inside cabinet with equipment to send, one outside on table to receive) as well as expensive ones (multiple small, wired sensor buds which attach to various equipment in cabinet and all lead to one sensor mounted outside cabinet somewhere).
This remote extender works better than any in it's price range and as well as the expensive ones. Not to mention the ease of installation, lack of wires... the list goes on. It's simple and it just works. Whew. When's the last time you could say that about a product?
Warranty is useless! March 6, 2010 Mark A. Sinning (Grand Rapids, MI) Purchased this to control a Motorola cable box. It worked flawlessly for about six weeks then intermittently for a few days before it failed totally. I have repeatedly emailed and called Next Generation's phone number for assistance with this. They have yet to respond to the emails or answer their phone. I called during their business hours only to get a recording stating that the office was closed and to call back during their business hours! I guess it's easy to have a one year warranty if you have no intention of honoring it. I am going to file a claim with the Better Business Bureau. I strongly recommend everyone to avoid Next Generation products.
You get what you paid for... March 6, 2010 J. Perron The product description described exactly what I needed although I was hesitant because the price seemed too good and the "RF" technology questionable. Despite my hesitancy, I took a chance. What a mistake. It just flat out did not work with the cable box I needed the device to control. I tried everything suggested and imaginable. Into the waste can it went.
I use a Niles IR remote extender elsewhere in my home. It is much more expensive than the Next Gen, but it works perfectly. I was trying to save a few bucks with the Next Gen and ended up throwing money away instead. You get what you pay for folks.
long range March 5, 2010 A. Antram (Northern California) It works all the way from my living room to my workout room 100ft and upstairs. no complaints
Next Gen Remote extender March 4, 2010 Linda Torres (California) Wow. This product is easy to use and set up. It works just like they say it will. If this great product did not exist, I would have had to spend about $700 on other equipment to accomplish the same thing. I am very pleased with this product. Thanks Next Gen for such a wonderful product!
