    5 out of 5 stars Works as described! 8/2010   August 22, 2010
Mike S. (Staten Island, NY USA)
Took a gamble with this one- reviews were 50/50... Well, guess I got lucky, or I read the directions or whatever.

    1) No interference issues
    2) Sticky sensor works just fine, allows unit to be hidden and does not interfere with direct transmissions
    3) Range works 35/ 40 feet at least through walls, bathroom, kitchen all the way to living room. I am on a 1 level home. I cannot comment on multi level transmission.
    4) Read the directions. Units profile (black part) is front.
I'm not sure but I would suggest using the sticky sensor instead of trying to shoot the receiving unit at the cable box- worked better that way.

    5) Very happy customer.

5 out of 5 stars Leap Frog   August 22, 2010

Bought 4 of these. They are all on the same frequency so you only need one receiver, (You end up with 3 extra receivers). The units work great. You have to have line of sight from your remote to the transmitter. The tv remote will not go through walls. The transmitter to the receiver will go through walls though. I have DirecTV, and 2 other devices working fine off the remote.

5 out of 5 stars works well   July 25, 2010

I am using this with a Directv setup. While the Direct receiver does have an RF remote, it did not have the range to reach to my basement. This unit works well at the distance needed.

4 out of 5 stars Works great, but stopped working right after a year or so   July 2, 2010
    Eric Guinazzo (LOWELL, MA, US)
Worked perfect. All components are down a hall in a closet. Tv on the wall. I put the receiver on top of my tv and it works great. Works no matter where I am in the room. Usually I am anywhere from 10 to 12 feet away from it. I would have given it 5 stars except for the following.

It has been about a year and sometimes it simply stops working. The weird thing is even if I walk over to the closet and point the remote at the device ( cable box) it still did not work. So I thought for sure it was my cable box. But same thing was happening to the DVD player. So I thought how could my DVD and cable box IR break on the same day. Well a few hours later it started working again. This went on for a few weeks. But I finally figured out is was the trek. When this happens and I unplug the power to the repeater my remotes work when pointed directly at the other components. Not sure why this happens.

Anyways, it is so cheap I am just going to buy another one because I have not seen any other model work better!!!

1 out of 5 stars This thing is scary!   July 2, 2010
    VideoGuy
Most of the time, it works great. But once in a while, this thing gets scary. I used it for my cable box and one day, it started changing the channels on my cable box by itself. I had to keep switching the channel back to where I wanted it, but then a few seconds later, it would change the channel again. Seriously, this thing is scary! Stay away! What a waste of $20!!
